Shade Mix is a frost hardy mixture of three different summer and winter growing lawn seeds specially developed for South African Conditions. All are tuft varieties so the lawn does not form a mat. Shade Mix contains perennial lawn seeds so it will not die down in winter if fed and watered regularly.

Blends
The blending of various grass species provides the ability to a lawn or sports field to be more of an “allrounder.” Each specie has different claims to fame. By blending different grasses, the end user get the characteristics of the various species in one. As an example: by blending perennial rye grass with fescue you get the quick establishment of the rye combined with the excellent root development of the fescue (best of both worlds.)
